Ana Cardoso (b. 1978, Lisbon) lives and works in New York. She received her MFA from Hunter College in 2006. Cardoso's practice is centered on the history of abstraction concerning material process in painting, and its complex relation to the culture of images. Her work is currently on view in a solo exhibition at MNAC Chiado Museum of Contemporary Art, Lisbon, and Andrew Rafacz Gallery, Chicago.
